the FALCONS are a team that you should get to know

This year marks the inaugural season of the PFFL Youth League. Right now we have five competitive teams that are all hungry to capture the first Youth Championship. Coached by VULTUREZ All-Star Wide Receiver Jason Bialek, the FALCONS are a team that you should get to know.
The FALCONS team is made up of seven talented players: Giovanni Pool, 7 is a second grade rusher at Faison Elementary; Benjamin Haselrig, 7 is a second grader at Central Elementary; Joey Lydon, 8 is a third grade rusher at Peebles Elementary; Devontae Johnson, 9 is a fifth grade wide receiver at Storox Elementary; Raymond Hart, 10 is a fifth grade wide receiver at Linden Elementary; Nikyla Wolford, 11 is a sixth grader at Roosevelt Elementary; and Tony Stevenson, 11 is a sixth grade quarterback at Homeville Elementary.

As the quarterback, Stevenson is the leader of the FALCONS. He is happy to be on his team because according to him, his teammates “all are good players.” In regards to playing the QB position, Stevenson recognizes that “you gotta see what person is open and what time to catch the ball.”
Haselrig also thinks highly of his teammates. In his opinion, “Ray and Tony are the best players on the team.”
It’s no secret that Hart is one of the Youth League’s shining stars. When asked what makes him so good he answered, “Cuz I watch football.” He continued, “Sean [THE U’s Sean Farr] tells me how to play, what to do, and where to run.”

Coach Bialek has led his team to a 2-1 record this season. According to Lydon, Bialek is a very helpful teacher. “He helps me get lined up on the scrimmage line,” Lydon said. “He tells me where to go for wide receiver.”
Lastly, the FALCONS would not be the team they are without the abilities of one of the few girls playing with the boys this season. Wolford, daughter of REASONABLE DOUBT All-Star Dennis “Shor D” Wolford, is a tenacious competitor that knows the game better than anyone lining up against her.
“Every time my dad has football practice with the Pride he lets my brothers and I practice with the big dudes and that’s where I learn from,” she said.
Look out for the FALCONS. They’ll be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs.
