"I'm looking forward to beating everybody and being the best"

The COWBOYS have been longtime NFL rivals of the Philadelphia Eagles. But the Pittsburgh Flag Football League Youth COWBOYS let it be known before week one even started who their rival was.

The RAVENS.

RAVENS coach Dennis Shor D Wolford happens to be the father of two players on the COWBOYS, nine-year-old Teshir Alston and eight-year-old Tamaya Wolford. And they certainly won't be holding back any time the two teams meet.

"We want to beat him a lot," Alston said.

Register today to play this fall!

The COWBOYS entered week one with seven talented players on their roster, and with Coach Andy Krawchyk at the helm, the team looks poised to make some noise in the PFFL's inaugural youth season.

In football, it all starts with quarterback. And the COWBOYS have a good one in fourth-grader Andreas Watson. The 10-year-old Watson has the demeanor of a quarterback, and certainly doesn't lack confidence.

"I'm looking forward to beating everybody and being the best," Watson said.

Jajaun Cook is the lone 11-year-old on the roster, but with his size and athleticism, he could emerge as one of Watson's favorite targets. And let's not forget 10-year-olds Austin Nickles and Robert Wilson, who also possess the ability to be game-breakers.

One sleeper for the COWBOYS this season may be Corey Meadows. While the second-grader is the youngest on the team at eight-years-old, he claims that he has been playing football for seven years.

But despite his plethora of experience, Meadows is looking forward to the entire PFFL Youth experience, and not just winning.

"I'm looking forward to having fun and being a good sport," he said.

With this lively cast of characters, I don't think having fun will be too much of an issue.
