The DONORA DRAGONS scored two touchdowns late to close the gap, but it wasn’t enough to make things interesting as they fell 40-26.

Coming into week four of the 2018 PFFL season, VAPOR and the DONORA DRAGONS were both challenging for the top seed in the PFFL playoffs behind current frontrunner PRIMETIME. The importance of the matchup wasn’t lost on either team, but in the end, VAPOR’s electric offense was too much for the DONORA DRAGONS to handle, leading them to a convincing 40-26 win.

The two teams traded touchdowns early on and went back and forth throughout the first half. VAPOR quarterback Cornell Mack was spot on to start the game, connecting with Josh Vermeulen on the opening drive to put his team up 7-0.

After each team scored on their ensuing possessions, the DONORA DRAGONS had the ball down 14-6. The offense capitalized on several penalties to get into the endzone, scoring on a touchdown pass from Dylan Patch to Demetrius Louis to make it 14-12.

VAPOR was able to push its lead back out to eight before the half, though, as Mack threw another touchdown pass, this time to wide receiver Jordan Batts. At the break, VAPOR led 20-12.

As competitive as the first half was, it was a completely different game in the last 20 minutes with VAPOR controlling both sides of the ball. After forcing a turnover-on-downs to start the half, Mack threw another touchdown pass to Batts as VAPOR took a commanding 27-12 lead.

Next week, the DONORA DRAGONS look to close out their regular season on a high note when they take on the WRENIS PINKLES and SUPREME TEAM. VAPOR has the week off before returning to action April 29 and May 6.
