The biggest problem with youth football has been the risk of injury and physicality

There’s nothing better for kids than youth sports.

I can speak firsthand to the way that youth sports molded my love of sports. I mean I do write about sports for a living right?

But anyways, it always seemed like youth sports were dominated by everything but football. Almost every kid has gone through playing in a Saturday soccer league. Youth basketball is always popular among kids whether it’s at the YMCA or a pickup league at a local park.

Obviously, the biggest sport with youth is baseball. Considered America’s pastime, little league is synonymous with youth sports. Heck, they have their own World Series every summer.

However, football is starting to gain great popularity amongst the youth and for good reason. Football is America’s most popular sport as the NFL is the easily the most popular professional league.

The biggest problem with youth football has been the risk of injury and physicality. Parents worry about not only the immediate threat of bones and ligaments, but also the long-lasting effects of football on the human body.

That’s why youth flag football is a perfect solution to quell parental worry and satiate a kid’s hunger for football. It provides a much safer alternative to padded football but allows children to play America’s favorite game.

As flag football’s popularity continues to rise, it will become widely recognized with other youth sports like little league. There’s no better time than now to allow football to give kids another option when it comes to youth sports.

If a kid’s going to play a sport, it might as well be their favorite one.
