In a day that started off soggy and wet in the natural grass surface of Mohican Park on the Westside of Cleveland, OH. Longtime veterans from Youngstown, JOE’S PROS walk away with the inaugural crown of the Cleveland Flag Football League.

As the format of the day aloud for all five competing teams to square off in a round robin style tournament, many believed that if JOE’S PROS had to face VAPOR (PFFL Spring 2011 Runner –Up combined with members from the STALLIONS), they may not stand a chance having lost to VAPOR earlier in a decisive 21 – 6 loss.

Bryan Maldonado of VAPOR was quoted as saying “We love the competition, and we love the opportunity to bring our talents across the border and show how we do things in Pittsburgh.”

All though the super athletic and fast paced VAPOR showed promise all day lead by the steady QBing of Jason Orsini and dominant defense by Darius Prince (PFFL Spring 2011 Ironman of the Year), they just couldn’t overcome the discipline of JOE’S PROS.

Looking at the score of the championship game would lead the average follower to believe that the major success lay on the shoulders of the defense, but when looking closer it was the laser precision arm of Henry Hall that lead this team to a “W”. Hall’s performance wasn’t just a switched that he turned on during the end of the tournament; his consistency rendered an eye popping 90% completion for the entire day.

While the sun didn’t shine very bright in the beginning, the brightness came through in the end for the members of JOE’S PROS.
