While the NCAA Tournament is full of upsets, it looks like the Steel Conference playoff bracket will be full of chalk.

First round

-STALLIONS 21, MCFADDENS 12 – Closer than the experts think but STALLIONS are the better team.

-PRO BOWLERS 20, SHOWTIME 6 – SHOWTIME’s an up-and-coming team, but it’s no match for the veterans.

-THE U 26, ILLUMINATI 7 – Can The U finally earn their respect? This is the first step.

-HORSEMEN 35, GARAGE DOOR SALOON 0 – GARAGE DOOR will be a good team someday. This is not that day.

-BALLZ DEEP 20, COBRA 7 – Easy first-round game for BALLZ DEEP. The key will be making the simple plays in the further rounds

-TEAM UPDAWG 28, ADP 13 – ADP is another team that’s on the rise. It’ll make this one closer than their regular season meeting, but UPDAWG moves on.

Second round

-BULLDOGS 42, STALLIONS 13 – Can the BULLDOGS get there this season? In the words of Stone Cold Steve Austin, this statement game says “Hell Yeah!”

-PRO BOWLERS 20, THE U 19 – Again, going with the veterans. This could go either way, but the Pro Bowlers have the edge.

-BALLZ DEEP 28, HORSEMEN 26 – So many misses in the regular season, but this is the playoffs. Jeremy Greenwalt catches every ball that comes his way. The Steves (Chockla and Shrum) connect on everything. BALLZ DEEP advances.

-VAPOR 21, TEAM UPDAWG 18 – Vapor’s playing with a chip on their shoulder. While it may overlook this game, Vapor escapes with the win.

Third round

-BULLDOGS 26, PRO BOWLERS 20 – I have a lot of faith in the PRO BOWLERS. With Mike Kreigel at quarterback, they’ll be in this one until the end, but just not enough to pull out the win.

-VAPOR 27, BALLZ DEEP 20 – BALLZ DEEP was shut out during the regular season, but it’ll make this one close. Possibly another scare, but VAPOR will win.

Finals

-BULLDOGS 28, VAPOR 21 – This one comes down to the last drive, and the Bulldogs score a touchdown with under a minute left. If Rick Straw plays a flawless game, then VAPOR proves me wrong. Either way, should make for a great Steel Conference championship.

Despite arguably the two best teams in the league being in the Iron Conference, the Bulldogs only have to play one. And they’ll win because whichever team comes out of Iron won’t be ready.

Let’s face it. Either Reign or Steeltown will win Iron and play in the championship. But that Iron Conference championship is the real prize for them. They’re only two 10-0 teams in the league play. They’ll both be undefeated coming into the game. The winning team will feel like they won the Super Bowl. REIGN or STEELTOWN will be more concerned with going to Disney World than playing the BULLDOGS.

The Steel Conference champions have been underrated all year. The BULLDOGS will learn from their only regular season loss to the VULTUREZ and pounce on Iron’s champion
