The SAINTS flawless execution that led them to the top seed

The SAINTS entered these playoffs as an overwhelming favorite after finishing the regular season undefeated. They did not disappoint.  The SAINTS cruised past the EAGLES in the semifinals and faced off with a PANTHERS team that just came off of a hard fought and nail biter of a win that went down to the last seconds with the CARDINALS.

The two squared off in a steady rain that added an extra twist to the high intensity of the championship game.  The game started as a stalemate with both teams trading drives that stalled out without much progress. Towards the end of the first half though, the SAINTS capitalized on the PANTHERS tired legs and cashed in on the first score of the game on a perfectly executed pass play. The PANTHERS showed some life on offense, but were unable to get enough together to inch closer to the SAINTS. The SAINTS broke through again with a long passing play that seemed to take the remaining wind out of the PANTHERS sails. They fought valiantly and hung in there for a while, but the SAINTS pursuit of perfection was coming to an inevitable conclusion.

The SAINTS tacked on two more touchdowns after halftime and finished the route of the tired PANTHERS team.  The SAINTS flawless execution that led them to the top seed showed through once more and culminated in their players raising their trophies in unison. The perfect record came to a perfect conclusion with the SAINTS as league champions.
