In a matchup that came down to the wire, MCFADDEN’S got the best of ILLUMINATI in a tough 20-19 win. Quarterback Justin Ford turned in an efficient performance for MCFADDEN’S. Ford completed 63.2% of his passes with three touchdowns and one interception. The signal-caller proved to be an equal-opportunity passer as he connected with three different receivers for touchdowns.

“Our guys just have a lot of speed,” Ford said about his receivers. “They just find ways to get open.”

On the other side of the field, ILLUMINATI Quarterback Denny Sentelle made plays all game to keep his team within striking distance, Sentelle completed 61.1 % of his passes and threw for two touchdowns. Late in the game, the QB rushed for a touchdown that brought ILLUMINATI within one point of MCFADDEN’S.

Although MCFADDEN’S won, they made the game much more challenging than it had to be. In the first half, MCFADDEN’S jumped out to a 14-0 lead. Then Sentelle found teammate Brian Perry for a score. Speaking of Mr. Perry, the receiver broke the single-season record for receptions by catching 70 passes with two games left in the regular season.

According to Ford, MCFADDEN’S are concerned about their defensive breakdowns that allowed ILLUMINATI to creep back into the game. “We gotta communicate on defense,” he said.
