The Bengals refused to go down and retaliated with a touchdown of their own to end the game 12-12.

The Bengals came into their matchup with the PATRIOTS looking for their first win of the year, and they knew that they were going to have to earn it. Coming out of the gate, the BENGALS built a lot of momentum with a number of impressive running plays that marched them down the field quickly. But every time that they found themselves moving, the PATRIOTS’ defense buckled down and stopped them.

They bent without breaking through the first half, and both teams went into halftime with without a point. The defensive stranglehold on both sides carried over for much of the game with the 0-0 score looking like it might never change.  However, with time running out in the second half, the PATRIOTS broke through with a long rushing touchdown that looked like it could have been the game winner.

With the end of the game closing in, the BENGALS offense brought everything that they had left and tied the game with a long rushing touchdown. That would be the last of the scoring in regulation, and the game headed to overtime tied at 6.  The competition didn’t get any easier in overtime. The PATRIOTS came out of the gate hot and scored a go-ahead touchdown to take a 6-point lead.

The BENGALS refused to go down and retaliated with a touchdown of their own to end the game 12-12. The phrase “neither team deserved to lose” has never been truer here as both teams impresses in their tie.
