The 0-1 BILLS came into their matchup with the 1-0 BEARS ready for a hard fight. Out of the gate, the BILLS were determined to let the ball fly and showed that with a long passing touchdown to open the scoring. On the following drive, the BILLS seemed to take all of the momentum with an interception that brought the ball all the way to the BEARS goal line.

But with the game already in jeopardy, the BEARS came up with a goal line stand and marched the ball back down the field. The BEARS’ Will Simon tied the game up with a rushing touchdown to punctuate the drive.  Stuck in a stalemate for most of the first half, the BILLS retook the lead with a long rushing touchdown before halftime, giving themselves a 12-6 lead.

The BILLS carried their momentum into the second half and turned another interception into a long touchdown pass and converted on a two-point conversion for a 20-6 lead. The BEARS refused to give up and stayed alive by putting together a strong drive that resulted in a rushing touchdown and a two-point conversion, pulling the score to 20-14 near the end of the second half.

However, that was as close as they could come and fell to the BILLS 20-14 in a hard fought game that pulled them into a tie with identical 1-1 records.  They both get ready for games next week eyeing first place.
