The SAINTS put their 1-0 record on the line against the 0-1 EAGLES, who were looking to come back strong after a slow start in a week 1 loss to the CARDINALS. This game featured an explosive display of high-powered offenses with long touchdown passes and lengthy runs on seemingly every drive. The two teams were neck and neck early on when the SAINTS’ Summer Haney opened the door with a big time touchdown.

She was making big plays all day and really highlighted her speed and ability with her touchdown play. The EAGLES answered with a long passing touchdown of their own shortly after, but ran into a tough defense after that. In addition to their high-octane offense, the SAINTS’ defense took over to seal the deal. They intercepted two passes and took one all the way back to seal the victory.

The EAGLES played a much better game than in week one, and their progress is evident. The SAINTS just played a little better today and pulled out the win in a back and forth contest by a final score of 34-14 The SAINTS look to stay undefeated next week with a matchup against the only other undefeated left in the division, the CARDINALS. The EAGLES will look to notch their first victory of the season against the PANTHERS.
