According to Chockla, Cramer is a solid cornerback with speed. “He’s a threat to get an interception on every play.”

Entering the Spring 2011 season, Steve Chockla was the second all-time leader in passing touchdowns (102) in PFFL history. In Week 2, the BALLZ DEEP quarterback added to his passing stats as he led his team to a convincing 32-12 over THE U.

Chockla dissected THE U defense like a surgeon, passing for four touchdowns. The prolific passer connected with Wide Receiver Steve Shrum for two touchdowns. Also, Chockla threw TDs to Eric Quinn and Tim Rowan.

All game the BALLZ DEEP offense made a living in the end zone thanks to some precision passing and crisp route-running.

“They [the receivers] were running really good patterns,” Chockla said. “They executed really well.”

In addition to Chockla’s impressive passing day, ex-BULLDOG Chris Cramer put his stamp on this game with his defensive prowess. On the very next play after Chockla connected with Shrum for BALLZ DEEP’s second score, Cramer undercut a throw by THE U’s Jeff Bollinger, completed the interception and sprinted to the end zone untouched. Cramer’s pick permanently sucked the life out of THE U.

According to Chockla, Cramer is a solid cornerback with speed. “He’s a threat to get an interception on every play.”

While BALLZ DEEP dominated THE U, the team realizes that it has to keep improving if it’s going to be competitive against the league’s top teams. “We have to play mistake-free ball, pulling flags, no dropped balls” Chockla emphasized. He added, “And I can’t throw interceptions.”
