When the workout was first introduced by Integrated Fitness’ Jake Troy, who completed the drill in 2:03, the PFFL players seemed reluctant to attempt it.

The first annual PFFL Combine presented by Integrated Fitness during the Southside Showdown Tournament may have been slowed down by the rain. But just like a talented PFFL squad, it was only able to be contained for so long.

After SHOWTIME teammates Anthony Garrett and Osaze Nerdudin spent almost all morning battling head-to-head on the several offered events, the rest of the PFFL community got involved in the action.

Even the Commissioner seemed to get the competitive juices flowing by improving upon Nerudin’s record of 16 reps on the bench press, and taking it to 31. After that, BALLZ DEEP’s Jeremy Greenawalt raised the bar to 45 reps, before Goose Fisher tied the record less than an hour later.

And while the tournament was rainy, it didn’t stop some of the league’s competitors from participating in the 40-yard dash. Garrett was able to just edge out Nerudin in the dash, running a 4.72, while Nuridalia ran a 4.75. Fisher also ran the 40, but was a tad slower at 4.9 seconds.

But as all the excitement of individual events unfolded, it was the dreaded Workout of the Day that garnered the most excitement. This specific workout contained three separate rounds of ring pushups, bench press and kettlebell weights.

When the workout was first introduced by Integrated Fitness’ Jake Troy, who completed the drill in 2:03, the PFFL players seemed reluctant to attempt it. But the players really were just waiting for their games to end, and by the end of the tournament, it was the most popular event.

Integrated Fitness trainer Jim Crowell was able to tackle the event easily, with an astounding time of 1:29. With Crowell setting the pace, it was time for the PFFL community to step up to the plate.

The PFFL’s Ty Gilliard finished the workout in an impressive 1:44, while the STALLIONSAaron Kojundic did it in 2:18.
