The action is heating up heading into the third week of the PFFL summer season, as teams are starting to find out where they stand in their respective divisions. The 10-to-12 year-old age group is one of the most competitive, with half the teams tied for second at 1-1.

There are plenty of exciting matchups this week, but one of the most important ones will take place at 3:45 p.m. between the SEAHAWKS and COLTS. Both squads are coming off impressive wins, as the SEAHAWKS beat the FALCONS 26-16 while the COLTS rallied from 18 down to win 40-30 over the BUCCANEERS.

Offensively, the SEAHAWKS are one of the most high-octane teams in the league, putting up an average of 34.5 points. But while the offense has carried them to their undefeated record, the defense has been solid as well. Through the first two games, the team has allowed only 22 points, and they’ll look to keep their momentum going this week.

They’ll have their work cut out though, as the COLTS have a great offense of their own. After being stymied by the FALCONS in their opening week loss, the COLTS responded in a big way last Sunday, scoring 40 in a 10-point victory against the BUCCANEERS. Quarterback Michael Balog led the team in the win, despite it being his first start at the position.

In the end, the matchup promises to be a high-scoring affair between two of the most prolific teams in the league. The stakes are high, as the SEAHAWKS could take sole possession of first place with a win and a DOLPHINS loss, while the COLTS are trying to stay within reach of the top spot.
