With the win, the RAIDERS jump into a tie for the division lead with the PANTHERS.

Heading into week two of the inaugural PFFL summer season, the 1-0 RAIDERS looked to be the favorites in their matchup against the 0-1 VIKINGS. But even so, the game was more lopsided than expected, with the RAIDERS winning in dominating fashion, 22-0.

The VIKINGS got the ball to start the game and looked good on their first play, a long run which set up a 2nd down and short. But they couldn’t convert, and the RAIDERS got the ball back, scoring immediately on a run by Josh Snyder. Snyder initially hesitated on the play before gaining the edge and taking off down the left sideline. The conversion was good, and the RAIDERS were up 8-0.

The RAIDERS defense looked more vulnerable on the next possession, as the VIKINGS quickly drove down the field. But, the unit stood tall, making a goal-line stand and getting the ball back. They were unable to score, but maintained their one-possession lead at the break.

Shortly into the second half, the RAIDERS added to their lead, scoring on a run from a few yards out. The running back faked out multiple defenders on the play, squeezing inside the pylon for the touchdown. Again, the two-point conversion was successful, and the lead was 16.

After another turnover on downs by the VIKINGS, the RAIDERS piled on with a short touchdown pass, walking away with a shutout victory.

With the win, the RAIDERS jump into a tie for the division lead with the PANTHERS. The two teams face off next Sunday, and the winner will be the only undefeated team heading into week four. On the other side, the VIKINGS will attempt to rebound against the 1-1 CARDINALS.
