After a thrilling two months, the all-star games look as if they’ll deliver the same exciting, action-packed play. Both contests kick-off at 12:30.

A month after PRIMETIME and the DISORDERLIES walked away with the Division I and II titles, respectively, the adult league’s best will come together for the all-star games Sunday at University Prep.

The Division I contest features championship quarterback Jason Scott and receptions leader Kenny Ashmore going up against VAPOR’s Cornell Mack and PUCK U’s Ryan Lancia.

Scott and Mack were by far the best quarterbacks in the league this spring, combining to throw 76 touchdowns to only five interceptions. The duo has the potential to put up a lot of points, and both defenses will have their work cut out even before the game begins.

They might be up to the task though, as Lancia was the PFFL’s leader in sacks with 12. He’ll keep Scott on his toes all game and attempt to rush him into some inaccurate throws. On the other side, Mack will have to keep an eye on defensive back Ryan Church. Church collected nine interceptions on the year — leading PUCK U to an 8-2 regular-season record — and will look to make an impact any way he can.

In total, PUCK U has the most players in the game with four, while PRIMETIME and VAPOR each have three.

The Division II contest is just as evenly matched and features players from eight of the league’s 11 teams. DISORDERLIES quarterback Shor D Wolford and ironman selection Alex Lohman will lead the first team, going up against the MUD DOGS’ duo of Bryan Thomas and Brandon Hill.

Wolford led the DISORDERLIES all year long, completing 70.7 percent of his passes on the team’s way to the championship. Thomas and Hill will provide a big challenge though, but if Wolford is able to avoid the pressure, he could have a big day.

The second team’s offense will be led by BLACK KNIGHTS quarterback Zack Bahr and DISORDERLIES wide receiver Juwan Haynes. Haynes was one of the best receivers in the spring season, hauling in 40 passes, nine of which were touchdowns. He should be able to keep his team close regardless of what happens on defense.
