It was a well-deserved title for PRIMETIME, who dominated the league all year long outside of an 18-14 loss to No. 2 PUCK U.

After a long day of playoffs, the Division I championship came down to PRIMETIME and VAPOR in what was one of the most exciting games of the year.

VAPOR was the clear underdog heading into the contest, as PRIMETIME was the No. 1 seed in the tournament. In addition, they suffered a 20-14 loss when the two squads faced off on April 30.

PRIMETIME quarterback Jason Scott started well, throwing a touchdown pass on the first possession of the game. After the first few minutes, PRIMETIME had grabbed a 7-0 lead.

The lead wouldn’t last for long though, as VAPOR came back with a touchdown pass of their own to tie the game at 7. Receiver Josh Vermeulen caught the ball just past the first down line and spun by two defenders to get to the end zone.

On the last possession of the half, PRIMETIME drove the length of the field and threatened to score as time wound down. With a few seconds left, the team executed a pick play to score and take a 14-7 lead into the break.

VAPOR got the ball to begin the second half and wasted no time, quickly tying the game at 14. A pair of passing touchdowns had the score tied at 21 heading into the final five minutes. PRIMETIME had the ball deep in VAPOR territory, poised to take the lead again. Scott dropped back to pass, fooling a defender with a pump fake before delivering a strike into the end zone to put his team on top by seven.

With one drive to save their season, VAPOR was faced with a do-or-die fourth down. Quarterback Cornell Mack connected with a receiver across the middle, but a PRIMETIME defender pulled the flag short of the line to gain. PRIMETIME took home the title, beating VAPOR by a score of 28-21.

It was a well-deserved title for PRIMETIME, who dominated the league all year long outside of an 18-14 loss to No. 2 PUCK U. The players celebrated with each other afterwards, reflecting on a championship season full of practice and hard work.
