The 7-to-9 year-old division is one of the most competitive in the PFFL heading into the playoffs. The first and last place teams were separated by only four games in the final standings, so the difference between playoff seeds is minimal.

Eight of the 12 groups will play in the first round, with the BUCCANEERS, CHARGERS, SAINTS and JAGUARS earning a bye.

The No. 8 versus No. 9 game between the BEARS and EAGLES looks to be the most even matchup in the first round. Both teams finished the year at 2-4 and have yet to play each other. The BUCCANEERS await the winner in the second round.

Directly below, the No. 5 DOLPHINS will take on the No. 12 COLTS. The game will be a rematch of last week, when the DOLPHINS won 18-6. The COLTS will be the underdog heading into the contest, but they shouldn’t be counted out.  The winner will advance to take on the JAGUARS in the second round.

In the bottom half of the bracket, the No. 6 FALCONS take on the No. 11 49ERS at 1 p.m. on field three. The 49ERS have only one win this year, an impressive 48-0 shutout of the COLTS. On the other side, it was an up-and-down season for the FALCONS, who alternated wins and losses throughout the season. The winner of this game will move on to play the No. 3 SAINTS.

The first round begins at 1 p.m. at Cupples Stadium and the teams will play throughout the day. It should be an exciting day in the division, with several teams having a chance to make a run to the championship.
