Division I was competitive yet top-heavy this spring, as three teams — PRIMETIME, PUCK U and VAPOR — dominated play. The teams grabbed the top three seeds of the playoffs and will be the heavy favorites this weekend.

There’s only one first-round matchup in this bracket featuring SMOKE and GHOST NATION. Both squads struggled this year, finishing in the bottom two spots of the standings.

The winner of the first-round game will move on to play No. 1 PRIMETIME, the clear favorite. PRIMETIME has been led by quarterback Jason Scott, one of the most efficient passers in the league. Scott threw 37 touchdowns this year to only three interceptions. Any team hoping to beat PRIMETIME will have to stifle the talented quarterback.

Below the PRIMETIME matchup is the No. 4 versus No. 5 game between DEL FUEGOS and WRECKING CREW. DEL FUEGOS won the previous game between the teams on April 2 by a score of 18-13. There’s no clear favorite in this contest, and it could be the best game of the second round.

On the bottom half of the bracket, No. 2 PUCK U plays No. 7 VOODOO while No. 3 VAPOR plays No. 6 MMG.

MMG is a potential sleeper in this part of the playoffs. They’ve only played six games this year, and they beat VAPOR back on March 26 by a score of 19-13. Receiver Jon Pryor has been one of the team’s best players, hauling in 29 catches and seven touchdowns.

The playoffs start at 2 p.m. while the championship game is at 4 p.m. on field two. Everything will be decided this week, and it should be an exciting three hours of football.
