A win would be huge for both sides, and with so much on the line, every player will need to be at their best.

VAPOR and PRIMETIME have been two of the top teams in Division 1 this year, compiling a combined 12-3 record. This week, they face off against one another in the midst of division races.

PRIMETIME currently sits at 6-1, holding a 1-game lead in the Steel Central Division over second-place DEL FUEGOS. The lone loss came against PUCK U by a score of 18-14 in the team’s most recent contest.

Offensively, the group is led by quarterback Jason Scott and receiver Kenny Ashmore. This duo has been electric all season long, with Scott completing over 80 percent of his passes for 25 touchdowns to only two interceptions. Ashmore has been on the receiving end of 15 of those touchdowns and has tallied 45 catches through seven games.

Mykhael Kelley leads the squad in the secondary, collecting four interceptions on the year and returning one for a touchdown in the team’s opening-week win over GHOST NATION.

VAPOR is the more desperate side in this contest though, as they need to win both of their games to take the division crown from PUCK U. The team is one game back of the lead, and they have the tiebreaker thanks to a 14-6 win on March 29.

Quarterback Cornell Mack has led the offense and sports the best touchdown-to-interception ratio in the league. On the season, he has thrown 33 touchdowns compared to just two interceptions. As a result, the team’s offense has scored the second most points in Division 1, behind DEL FUEGOS.

A win would be huge for both sides, and with so much on the line, every player will need to be at their best. Kickoff at 9:20 a.m. on Sunday at Taylor Allderdice High School.
