This contest will be one of the most pivotal matchups in any age division this spring.

Going into the last week of the season, the 7-to-9 year-old age division is wide open. A staggering five teams are tied for the lead with a .750 winning percentage, while the FALCONS are just one game back.

One of the marquee matchups of the week is a battle between the SAINTS and the DOLPHINS. Both squads sit at 3-1, and the winner of this game will have a good chance to walk away with the regular-season title.

The SAINTS got off to a fast start this spring, winning their first three games by a combined score of 56-18. Last week, the team suffered their first loss of the year, as the defense fell short against the high-powered BUCCANEERS (2-0-2) offense.

Averaging 17.5 points per game, the SAINTS offense has been consistent all season long. Outside of last week’s loss, the defense has also played well, giving up only six points in each of the team’s first three games.

On the flip side, the DOLPHINS have traveled a much different road on their way to a 3-1 record. The squad lost their opening game of the season against the FALCONS (2-2) before bouncing back to win each of their last three.

But, each of the DOLPHINS’ wins have come against teams with a losing record, and the SAINTS will pose a big test for the group’s talented offense. The DOLPHINS have averaged 23.5 points per game and put up 34 against the EAGLES (1-3) just last week.

This contest will be one of the most pivotal matchups in any age division this spring. The loser will be eliminated from the regular-season title race, while the winner will claim at least a share of the championship.
