GHOST NATION will take on VAPOR and MMG while VOODOO will try to continue its momentum against MEAN MACHINE and DEL FUEGOS.

Coming into the week, VOODOO’s defense was allowing 18.4 points per game. But in their matchup against 1-6 GHOST NATION, the unit came through, leading the team to a 13-0 win.

In a battle between the bottom two team in the Iron Central division, neither offense was able to get much going, as the 13 combined points was a season-low for both sides.

After each squad went out on downs to start the game, VOODOO broke the tie with a touchdown pass from Austin Durham to Avi Teitelbaum. The conversion was good, and the team took a 7-0 lead at the midway point of the half.

With time winding down, GHOST NATION drove deep into VOODOO territory. The offense was down to their last play, but a pass into the end zone fell incomplete and VOODOO maintained its seven-point lead at halftime.

GHOST NATION threw the ball downfield to open the second half, but it resulted in a turnover when Dan Parke ran in front of the receiver and intercepted the pass. VOODOO gave it right back though, as Durham was picked off by Ryan Smith on the first play of its drive. GHOST NATION couldn’t capitalize though, as the team was stopped just short of the goal line.

With one minute to go, VOODOO had the ball with a chance to put the game away. They picked up the first down before adding on another score to go up 13-0. GHOST NATION wasn’t able to respond, and VOODOO — with the win — kept themselves out of the basement of the Iron Central.

After the Easter break, both teams return on April 23 to play a pair of games. GHOST NATION will take on VAPOR and MMG while VOODOO will try to continue its momentum against MEAN MACHINE and DEL FUEGOS.
