In a battle of undefeated teams, quarterback Jason Scott and PRIMETIME rolled, claiming a 20-0 victory over MMG — who entered the game as the third highest scoring team in the league.

Scott was impressive all game long, tallying three touchdown passes and no interceptions. MMG’s defense was no match, as PRIMETIME had open receivers on nearly every passing attempt.

“[MMG’s] safety plays really deep and likes to fly up, so double moves get him every once in awhile,” Scott said. “We were just trying to get the ball in the players’ hands early and let them run with it.”

MMG got the ball to start, but the drive stalled in opponent territory and the ball went over on downs. PRIMETIME immediately opened the scoring, putting together a nice drive capped by Scott’s first touchdown pass of the day.

Down 6-0, MMG couldn’t muster up any offense on their next possession, going three and out.

In the sequence, quarterback Tony Battaglini got no help from his receivers, who dropped several passes which would’ve extended the drive. Dropped balls were a big problem all game long for MMG, as Battaglini and his receivers never managed to get on the same page.

“I’m dumbfounded right now,” Battaglini said. “We weren’t ourselves today. I don’t know what it was, but that’s a tough team. It’s usually a competitive game, but I don’t know what happened there.”

Coming out of halftime, PRIMETIME extended their lead to 13-0 with another touchdown pass from Scott, whose pump fake allowed wide receiver Kenny Ashmore to run right by the secondary and get open.

“It was a quick slant and go,” Scott said. “As soon as he ran the quick slant, I pump faked as hard as I [could] and they both jumped up as hard as they possibly could. We went over the top, and he was wide open.”

After another defensive stop, PRIMETIME added on a late score, walking away with an impressive shutout win.

Next week, PRIMETIME will attempt to stay atop of the division in a doubleheader against the DISORDERLIES and PUCK U. Meanwhile, MMG has two consecutive bye weeks before facing off against MEAN MACHINE on April 23.
