So far the experiment of breaking our league up into two divisions (Division 1 and Division 2) has gotten off to a predictable start in Division 1. As usual PRIMETIME, WRECKING CREW, and VAPOR are undefeated. Undeniably the aforementioned teams are the top three championship contenders from either division.

MMG, PUCK U, and DEL FUEGOS are also undefeated. While I do not consider any of these teams to be true contenders because of the none of them can truly compete with my top three from Division 1, I am willing to concede that if there are any teams capable of pulling off a postseason upset against the odds on favorites then MMG, PUCK U, and DEL FUEGOS would qualify as potential upset winners.

As for Division 2 teams the path to a championship is decidedly less clear than the path is for their Division 1 counterparts. Currently, DISORDERLIES are leading the entire division with a 3-0 record. Veteran Rusher Anthony Garrett is terrorizing opposing quarterbacks with four sacks to date. Moreover, rookie Wide Receiver Juwan Haynes is quickly establishing himself as a viable top option at receiver with his team-high 18 receptions.

After years of coming up short in the traditional regular season format the BLACK KNIGHTS are finally putting together a stellar regular season. Led by veteran QB Zack Bahr the KNIGHTS are 3-1. For every pick that Bahr throws he is throwing two TDs. If this continues then the KNIGHTS could be awarded the number one seed in the playoffs.

At 2-0 WRENIS PINCKLES looks like a team poised to contend for the top seed in the Division 2 playoffs. The fact that their entire team is battle-tested after years of competing against many of the top teams playing in Division 2 is a testament to how much of an advantage the PINCKLES have over the rest of the teams in the recreational division.

Overall I am not surprised by the top teams in either division; however, I think the top seed of Division 2 will have a shot at making a deep playoff run once the inter-divisional round starts.
