After watching Jason Scott connect so easily with Dennis “Shor D” Wolford for the game’s first touchdown, I knew that I was getting ready to observe a massive blowout. The IRON CONFERENCE All-Stars defeated the STEEL CONFERENCE All-Stars 53-20!

Scott, who won the FALL 2016 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR award, was unstoppable at the helm for the IRON team. The prolific passer completed 24 of his 25 pass attempts for seven touchdowns and zero picks. The QB also rushed for a TD.

Part of the reason why Scott played so well in this game is because he was laying with two of his PRIMETIME teammates, Kory Vorum and FALL 2016 IRONMAN OF THE YEAR Kenny Ashmore. Vorum caught five receptions and Ashmore hauled in 12 receptions and four TDs.

Although PRIMETIME shined greatly in this game, Shor D proved to be the “little engine that could” push the IRON over the top. His six catches and three TDs demonstrated how effective the receiver was in developing a chemistry with Scott.

The play of the game happened when Shor D’s son Jamar ridiculously picked off STEEL QB Chris Sullivan late in the second half. On a deep pass intended for Jeff Holmes, Jamar deflected the pass and then caught the ball as he was falling to the ground.

Holmes led the STEEL team with nine catches and one touchdown.
