This game was a well-fought, back-and-forth battle between the two 1-0 teams.

This Sunday brought Week 2 of the youth league and another great matchup between the PANTHERS and the VIKINGS.  In Week 1, both teams secured victories in the first games with the VIKINGS beating the CARDINALS 24-7 and the PANTHERS taking down the BENGALS 18-12.  This game was a well-fought, back-and-forth battle between the two 1-0 teams.

The powerful PANTHERS are under the guidance of Coach Chris and team members include Jackson Augustine, Ashley Barone, Rixon Foote, Trey McMurray, Kevin Price Jr., Sydney Curd, and the sibling combinations of Giada and Tony Muti as well as Peyton and Gavin Psilos.

Their opponent, the mighty VIKINGS, are coached by Braden Ballard and team members include Basil Alfano, Daniel Baldwin, Mijour Cullens, Chase Dusi, Stash Foster, Andre Knobbe, Lucas Miranda, and Willis Price-Wheeler.

The game between the two team started off slow offensively with both teams going three and out on their first possessions.  However, it was the VIKINGS that were the first to put points on the board.  Lucas handed off to speedy Stash who took it the length of the field for a touchdown.  Stash completed a pass to Lucas for the extra point and a 7-0 lead.

Down 7-0, the PANTHERS were ready to answer right back.  Coach Chris had some tricks up his sleeve and ran a reversal on first down.  Giada and Peyton ran their way up the field to gain yardage for the PANTHERS.  In the end, it was a brother-brother connection on a pass from Peyton to Gavin in the endzone for the touchdown.  The 2-point conversion was successful on a reversal to Giada and the PANTHERS took the lead 8-7 going into halftime.

Much like the first half, the VIKINGS were the first to strike in the second.  After several great runs by Mijour and Lucas, Stash again used his speed to surge down the sideline for yet another touchdown.  Stash was sacked by Giada on the extra point and the VIKINGS took the lead 13-8.

Once again, the PANTHERS were able to respond with a score of their own.  This time, it was Giada who took the ball on the fake reversal the length of the field for what appeared to be a touchdown.  However, Giada leaped gracefully into the endzone and leaving your feet is not allowed, so the ball was placed at the one-yard line.  The PANTHERS were able to convert the touchdown with Peyton passing to little brother Gavin yet again in the corner of endzone.  The PANTHERS took the lead 14-13 and never looked back.

Both teams tried numerous times to get on the board again in the second half, but the defenses remained strong.  Some game-saving flag pulls ended the VIKINGS chance at a comeback and the game ended in a final score of 14-3 in favor of the PANTHERS.

Both teams played extremely well in this game and are definitely teams to watch out for in the 7-9-year-old youth division.  The PANTHERS have a talented offense under the lead of Giada Muti and Peyton Psilos.  Coach Chris has an extensive playbook, which his intelligent players are
