This Sunday featured a matchup of the winless between HONEY BADGERS and TRIBE.  Coming into Week 4, each team was desperately searching for their first win of the season and I expected a close game.

The first half was low-scoring with both teams turning the ball over on downs on their first possessions.  HONEY BADGERS was first on the board after TRIBE’s QB Jacob White was intercepted by Ryan Hall right outside the endzone for a pick-six.

After a turnover on downs, HONEY BADGERS got the ball back and scored yet again, this time on a pass from Robinson to Hall, who avoided several tackles for the touchdown.  Down 12-0, TRIBE was able to strike just before half.  White found TJ Whalen downfield, who made a move on a HONEY BADGER defender for the touchdown.  With a successful extra point to Jake Dudae, TRIBE went into halftime down 12-7.

Despite the last-minute surge in the second, TRIBE was completely dominated by HONEY BADGERS in the second half.  HONEY BADGERS scored on their opening drive on a long run downfield by Robinson with just about every member of TRIBE failing to tackle him.  After a successful two-point conversion, HONEY BADGERS led 20-7 and they just kept adding to the total the rest of the game.

A fumbled snap by TRIBE in the back of their own endzone gave two more points to HONEY BADGERS.  Because of the safety, HONEY BADGERS got the ball back and capitalized – scoring again on a touchdown pass from Robinson to Matt Kline.

TRIBE would be able to answer the score with a touchdown of their own on a deep pass downfield by White to Whalen.  However, that would be the last time TRIBE would score all game.  HONEY BADGERS would continue to dominate the offense with two more touchdowns – one by another length of the field run by Robinson and the other on a pass from Robinson to Kline into the endzone.  The game ended in a final score of 40-13 in favor of HONEY BADGERS.

HONEY BADGERS played well in this game on both sides of the ball.  At quarterback, Robinson had several successful runs and relied primarily on the short-passing game.  Although that worked for them in this one, I’d like to see how his arm fairs throwing downfield.  Alex Lohman, who had a sack, led the defense, putting the pressure on the quarterback.  I think HONEY BADGERS has promise, but will need to work hard developing their offense against some of the better teams.

TRIBE continued to struggle on both offense and defense this week.  Jacob White has a strong arm but makes poor passing decisions at times.  Also, they need to use the height of receiver, TJ Whalen to their advantage: loft the ball and let him go get it.  However, the biggest thing TRIBE needs to improve on is their defense.  They NEED a rusher.  TRIBE is giving opposing
