Post game interview with the SEAHAWKS

After scoring on their first drive, the BEARS were unable to generate any points for the rest of the game due to the SEAHAWKS’ suffocating defense. As a result, the SEAHAWKS beat the BEARS handily 25-7 to win the Upper Division championship game.

Prior to the game the HAWKS learned that their coach Jason Moore would not be able to coach them in the playoff tournament due to health reasons. In a beneficial twist of fate, the Youth League summoned 10-time champion Coach Dennis “Shor D” Wolford to coach the HAWKS.

Fortunately for the HAWKS Quarterback Zachary Kauter was able to efficiently run Coach Shor D’s read-option offense. Kauter excelled mostly because of his ability to deliver the football to all of his playmakers before the BEARS could set their defense. Speaking of those playmakers, any team that has Chris Dotson, James “JT” Johnson, and Anthony “Swag” Jagers II will most likely be victorious. Seth Campbell also made his impact on the game by catching multiple passesin traffic.

While the SEAHAWKS offense was impressive, their defense won the game for them. The standout defender of the game was JT. This young man caught two interceptions, including a pick-6 to seal the lead for the HAWKS.

Despite losing both of their regular season game against the HAWKS by double digits, the BEARS’ first round performance against the FALCONS (a 19-6 win) should have been a source of optimism for them going into the title game. Unfortunately, Coach Guy Vines was unable to get his team ready for the HAWKS’ prowess on both sides of the ball.

Primarily, the BEARS struggled because they could not sustain drives long enough to pick up first downs and put themselves in scoring position. Coach Vines tried to alternate snaps at QB between Pharoh Fisher, Jonah Cook, and Malik Marmon. Unfortunately nothing worked.

The BEARS could not even get Nathan “Nate Dogg” Valukevich going because the HAWKS put a spy on the underdog playmaker to neutralize Nate’s yards after catch.

CONGRATULATIONS SEAHAWKS!!!
