Mack completed 17 of 20 passes for six touchdowns and just one interception.

Apparently the IRON CONFERENCE’s first team is better than the STEEL’s first team. In dominating fashion the IRON All-Stars beat the STEEL All-Stars 40-20 in the All-Star Championship game.

Naturally, all-time great VAPOR QB Cornell Mack was comfortable with his team as his VAPOR teammates Elliot Williams and Josh Vermeulen were also selected to the first team. Mack completed 17 of 20 passes for six touchdowns and just one interception. At this point in his PFFL career, the media team has run out of adjectives to describe the elite passer’s greatness.

Vermeulen picked up right where he left off during the regular season. The quiet yet deadly wideout  led all receivers with seven catches and four TDs. BLUNT FORCE Captain Jeremy Molinaro (five catches, one TD) and Williams (three catches, one TD) also played well under the leadership of Mack.

Despite the lopsided score, Lance Brunsell did not play poorly. The DECEPTICONS signal-caller completed 17 of 22 passes for three touchdowns and no picks. Unfortunately the IRON team’s offensive attack was too much for the STEEL team to overcome.

Although the final score does not indicate that the STEEL team put forth a competitive defensive effort, there was at least one bright spot for the losing squad. First time All-Star EJ Taylor was a force in the secondary, collecting five tackles and snagging one interception.

At any rate the road to the Spring 2016 championship appears to go through VAPOR.
