Rayven Russ dominated on both sides of the ball, scoring two touchdowns and recording many tackles.

The final week of the youth league regular season featured a matchup between the 3-1 EAGLES and the 0-4 BILLS.  I had hoped the BILLS would somehow manage to earn their first victory of the season, however, the EAGLES proved too powerful.

The first half was all EAGLES, like most of the game.  The EAGLES showed their strength on offense by scoring on each of their possessions in the half.  On their first play of the game, Matthew Fulmore handed the ball off to Bryce Bestic, who ran the length of the field for a touchdown.   The BILLS failed to get anything going and turned the ball over on downs on their opening drive.

On the next drive, Rayven Russ ran up the left sideline for the EAGLES’ second touchdown of the game.  After stopping the BILLS on their next possession, the EAGLES capitalized with a reverse handoff from Matthew to Landon Pickett for a TD.  The BILLS came up just shy of a TD on their last play before the half and remained down 18-0.

The second half wasn’t much different than the first.  However, the BILLS did force the EAGLES to turn the ball over on downs twice, a first for the game.  The EAGLES did manage to score a TD in the half on another long TD run by Rayven Russ. However, despite improving on defense, the BILLS failed to get anything going on offense yet again.  Their only points of the game proved to be a safety when the EAGLES fumbled in their own endzone.  The final score read 24-2 in favor of the EAGLES.

Rayven Russ dominated on both sides of the ball, scoring two touchdowns and recording many tackles.  Behind Rayven and many other talented players, the EAGLES have a great chance to go far in playoffs if they keep up this impressive level of play.

Although they suffered their fifth loss of the season, the BILLS gave it their all.  The team was led at QB by Chase Dusi and on defense by Bryan DeLandro.   Although the BILLS need a lot of work, they should still come ready to try their best in playoffs because anything can happen.
