This 2016 spring season has been a great one so far for the entire youth league.  The 7-9 year-old division, our largest with 10 teams, has played some competitive games over the past four weeks.

Here are the current records for the 7-9 year-old division:

The RAIDERS are the team to beat this season and remain the only undefeated team in the 7-9 year-olds.  The RAIDERS’ strong suit is their offense, scoring at least three touchdowns in each of their four games.  If they keep up the good work, they can definitely make a deep playoff run.

Four teams currently sit strong with a 3-1 record.  Both the PATRIOTS and BRONCOS were undefeated until last week.  However, out of these four teams, I think the most talent sits with the EAGLES and LIONS.  Both these teams are the most complete teams, with offensive standouts and strong defenses.  These two teams play each other this week in a great end of the season matchup.

The JETS sit even at 2-2 and can sure give any of the above teams a run for their money.  Both the TEXANS and DOLPHINS sit at 1-3.  Both teams need to improve their offenses because they are just not scoring enough to win games.

The BILLS and TITANS sit at the bottom at 0-4 and are still looking for their first win of the season with one week left.  If their players show up to practice ready to improve their team play overall, a win in the final week just might happen.

With this upcoming Sunday being the last set of games before playoffs, all players better come ready to play and give it their all.  All players should make sure they show up on time for practice so their team can properly prepare for their game ahead.  So go out, play hard, and end the season with a “W!”
