The SEAHAWKS have dominated the 13-15 year-old division

This 2016 spring season has been a great one so far for the entire youth league.  The 13-15 year-old division is our smallest, with only four teams.  However, despite having to play each other often, the teams have kept most of the games competitive week after week.

Here are the current records for the 13-15 year-old division:

The SEAHAWKS have dominated the 13-15 year-old division and are definitely the team to beat this season.  They are the only undefeated 13-15 year-old team and their play has been pretty impressive in their four games.  The SEAHAWKS have been strong both offensively and defensively, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 81-12.

The next best team is the BEARS, with an even 2-2 record.  Both of the BEARS’ losses have been to the SEAHAWKS, where they failed to score enough points to win.  However, when it came to playing the FALCONS and the PANTHERS, they dominated with scores of 42-26 and 19-0.

The bottom two teams in this age group are the FALCONS and the PANTHERS.  Both teams currently sit with a 1-3 record.  Both these teams have lost to their other divisional opponents and have split the two games they faced against each other.  These two teams have talent but lack consistency and strength in their overall play, something they need to work hard on before playoffs.

With all this being said, I think this year’s championship will come down to the SEAHAWKS and BEARS.  The SEAHAWKS are clear favorites because of their domination this season and the BEARS have come the closest to beating them.  However, anything can happen in the playoffs so you can’t count out the FALCONS and PANTHERS to make an upset.

With this upcoming Sunday being the last set of games before playoffs, all teams better come ready to play and give it their all.  Players should make sure they show up on time for practice so their team can properly prepare for their game ahead.  So go out, play hard, and end the season with a “W!”
