So don’t miss this game, which is set to take place Sunday at 3:45 p.m. on Field 2.

This week we have a 13-15 year-old matchup to look forward to between the FALCONS and the PANTHERS.  It looks like this will be an exciting game between these two teams.  Heading into Week 4 of the youth league, the FALCONS sit with a record of 1-2 and the PANTHERS are at the bottom at 0-3.

Here’s a quick recap of their games so far:

  • In their first game of the season, the FALCONS beat the PANTHERS by a score of 40-6.
  • In Week 2, both teams were completely shut-out by their opponents.  The FALCONS lost to the SEAHAWKS 24-0 and the PANTHERS got beat by the BEARS 19-0.
  • This past Sunday, the FALCONS lost to the BEARS 42-26.  The PANTHERS played the SEAHAWKS and were shut-out for the second week in a row 22-0.

Since there are only four teams in the 13-15 year-old division, teams are bound to play each other more than once.  So this week, the FALCONS and PANTHERS will battle it out in a rematch from Week 1.

The PANTHERS have yet to win a game and that is mostly due to their offensive play.  Even though they are giving up a little more points than I’d like on defense, their focus should be on improving their offense.  In two of their three losses, they did not even score a touchdown, something that definitely needs to change before playoffs.

The FALCONS had an impressive win against the PANTHERS in Week 1, putting up a hearty 40 points.  After being shut-out in Week 2, they were able to score 26 points against the BEARS but failed to win the game.  They have a talented offense, but they need to work on their defensive play to improve their record.

Although I think the FALCONS will come out on top again in this rematch, I think the PANTHERS will give them a game.  If the FALCONS play great defense, they will come away with this one.  But if the PANTHERS work hard in practice to improve their offense, they could come away with their first win of the season.

So don’t miss this game, which is set to take place Sunday at 3:45 p.m. on Field 2.
