When I asked Hunter why he was such an effective runner, he responded, “because he runs pretty much every day at his house.”

Interview with Logan Hunter

In a defensive battle that went down to the wire, the JETS emerged from their bout with the TITANS with a 14-8 win. The loss dropped the TITANS to 0-3 on the season.

Both teams had to overcome multiple absences on their rosters just to be able to play competitively in this game. After a slow start, the JETS struck first by driving down the field for a touchdown. Logan “Wolverine” Hunter took over the game early by evading two TITANS in the backfield and running through the secondary for a touchdown. Following Hunter’s first TD, the young man also scored a two-point conversion for the JETS to give them an 8-0 lead.

As a result of the JETS’ starting quarterback being late to the game, Coach Jay Morrison had to rely on his defense to hold down the fort for his team’s offense. Every team has a hero but only one team has a Messiah Wilburn. Time after time Wilburn succeeded at pulling flags and breaking up passes as a prominent member of the JETS’ defense. His individual effort as well as the collective effort of his entire team allowed the JETS to pitch a shutout for the majority of the game.

Late in the second half the TITANS were able to put a scare into the JETS when they scored a touchdown and two-point conversion to tie the game at 8.

After their lead had evaporated within seconds the JETS could have gone into panic mode by playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Fortunately, Wolverine used his ability to heal himself to heal the team’s loss of confidence. After faking a handoff to another JETS’ player, William Douglas put the ball in Hunter’s hands. The young man cut back once, sped to the outside and cruised down the sideline for a touchdown.

When I asked Hunter why he was such an effective runner, he responded, “because he runs pretty much every day at his house.”

Hunter also informed me that he is “the second or third fastest athlete at his school.”

Now that the JETS finally have a win on their record, teams will unquestionably shift their gameplans to stop Wolverine.
