DARKWINGS won both of their games, improving their record to 5-3 in the Iron West.

In Week 4 play, many teams continued to battle for playoff positioning in both conferences.  However, other teams dug deeper holes for themselves in preparation for the fast approaching playoffs.

Highs

  • VAPOR won both of their games on Sunday to two elite teams in MMG and YGFT and continued their undefeated season at 8-0.
  • Even though they were shutout by VAPOR, YGFT went 3-1 on Sunday, improving their record to 6-1.
  • DARKWINGS won both of their games, improving their record to 5-3 in the Iron West.
  • STEELTOWN went 3-0 on Sunday to remain at the top of the Steel East with a record of 6-1.
  • DECEPTICONS made a comeback from last week this Sunday, winning both of their games.  They sit in second place in the Steel North at 5-3.
  • MMG, MYSTERY MEN, and ZIP EM UP all went 2-1 in their games on Sunday with some impressive wins and close losses.
  • BLUNT FORCE beat PUCK U in a close game to tie them for first place in the Iron East division, both at 6-2.

Lows

  • AZTECS were shutout in both their games this week.  They haven’t won since their very first game of the season and have failed to score a point in each of their last four games.
  • GAME CHANGERS were shutout again in both their games this week.  They remain winless at 0-7 and are only averaging 1.5 ppg.
  • The SPARTANS went 0-3 on Sunday and currently sit at the bottom of the Steel East with a 1-4 record.  Despite their losses, SPARTANS did seem to improve offensively in their weekend games.
  • VOODOO lost all three of their games this Sunday against MMG, LIGHTS OUT, and BLACK KNIGHTS, falling to 1-6.
  • GREEN MACHINE went 0-2 in their games against LETS GET PREGNANT and ZIP EM UP, placing them at the bottom of the Iron West at 1-7.

After four weeks of play, many teams have solidified their position in the league through execution, preparation and teamwork and others still have some ground to cover before the playoffs begin.  One thing is for sure, though: everyone needs to show up ready to play in these last two weeks because all teams make the playoffs and it is essentially a new season!
