Two Contenders Trade Conferences to Save Parity

In an effort to maintain a reasonable level of parity between the IRON and STEEL CONFERENCES, the PFFL has just announced a major move that will serve to create tougher playoff roads for two championship-contending teams. MMG is now in the STEEL CONFERENCE and ZIP EM UP is now in the IRON CONFERENCE.

At 5-0 MMG joins VAPOR as the league’s only undefeated teams. Over the course of their winning streak, the black-and-gold has emerged as the PFFL’s most potent offensive force, averaging nearly 29 points per game. Now that MMG is in the STEEL CONFERENCE, they have to compete against stiffer competition. STEELTOWN and the BILLY GOATZ both have rosters laden with veteran talent. In addition, MYSTERY MEN and DECEPTICONS are good enough to upset MMG in a close game.

On the other side ZIP EM UP is a team with championship experience that is still looking to establish its team identity. All-Star Quarterback Jeff Bollinger has constructed a team that is built to be a quick-strike offense. Unfortunately, the squad that appears to be a hybrid of former WRECKING CREW and PRIMETIME players seems to be uncomfortable with stretching the field. In their 12-7 loss to MYSTERY MEN, Bollinger struggled. The QB completed just seven of 17 passes with one touchdown and one interception. Rumor has it that an anonymous member of ZIP EM UP stated that MYSTERY MEN is a matchup nightmare for the ZIPS.

Now that ZIP EM UP is on the IRON side of the league, they will have to collide with talented teams like YGFT, PUCK U, and BLUNT FORCE. Obviously the reigning champions VAPOR are on a “strive for five.” As a result ZIP EM Up playmakers CJ Baker, Kenny Ashmore, and Bruce Thornton must develop better chemistry with Jeff on deep routes to match VAPOR’s high-octane offense.
