VAPOR team captain Bryan Maldonado has 100% confidence in his team’s ability to win yet another championship this season, which would put VAPOR alone at the top with five all-time championship wins.

At the end of the 2015 Fall Season, VAPOR reclaimed its position of glory, beating VULTUREZ in the championship 33-20.  VAPOR had struggled the past couple seasons to get back to the championship after losing some all-star players.  However, their championship win last season proved the team is now back and better than ever.

VAPOR team captain Bryan Maldonado has 100% confidence in his team’s ability to win yet another championship this season, which would put VAPOR alone at the top with five all-time championship wins.

“For us, we’ve always wanted to have the most championships.  It just so happens that we have 4, PRIMETIME has 4, and an older team called REIGN has 4.  We really want this fifth championship more than anything I can tell you that for sure.  We’re going to give it everything we got” said Maldonado.

If VAPOR plays as well as they did last year, a fifth championship is very well possible.  Last season, the team was led offensively by quarterback Cornell Mack, who threw for 27 TDs with an 81.2 completion %.  Mack will have a strong set of weapons at the wide receiver position to throw to this season with Maldonado, Ed Tozzi, and last year’s rookie standout Josh Vermeulen.

On the defensive side, All-Star wide receiver Dane Williams will continue to make his presence known. Williams, one of the team’s leaders in defensive tackles last year, brings experience, having played in different systems before.  He will play a steady role in VAPOR’s defensive core.

The team members remain consistent from last year, with the exceptions of Maldonado’s return from injury and the return of All-Star player Marrio Poston.  Both will contribute to the offensive side of the ball, with Maldonado making appearances at safety as well.

Maldonado is making a comeback this season after having surgery on a ruptured Achilles almost 8 months ago.

“I feel amazing.  When it comes to football, I have a passion for it.  I’ve always loved it and I feel like if I don’t work as hard as I need to, I’m cheating myself and my team.  I missed it last year and when you don’t play, it really makes you know how much you actually love playing.  I’m looking forward to it and I’m ready to go” said Maldonado.

After a successful stint at nationals with VAPOR, Maldonado looks for himself to bounce back at 100%, ready to take on the new season.  He will make a return as Cornell Mack’s right-hand man on the offense.

One team that could step in the way of VAPOR’s rise to greatness is ZIP EM UP.  Combining members of two teams, ZIP EM UP may prove a challenge to VAPOR because of their likeness in experience.

With all this being said, as the reigning champions, VAPOR is the team to beat in the IRON Conference, if not in the whole league.
