Who do you think we should watch out for?

After a four-month offseason, the PFFL Adult League is back with a vengeance! So far we have 19 teams signed up to play with room for several more. Please be advised that the registration deadline for the Spring 2016 season has been extended to Monday, March 7.

As we look forward to Week #1 which kicks off on Sunday, March 13 at 9pm, there are several players that fans will want to watch this season. The following list of up and comers will definitely be vying for an All-Star selection.

Dan Voith, WR/DB, LIGHTS OUT

Voith has quickly become one of the best two-way players in the league. Although his team’s success has left a lot to be desired pretty much since they joined the league, Voith gives All-Star QB Vince Flotta a consistent playmaker on offense and a reliable corner back on defense. Last year Voith was selected to the All-Star game after catching a team-high 46 receptions with 12 touchdowns. On defense, he contributed 20 tackles and two sacks. Now that Voith has established himself as a threat, fans will be watching to see whether or not last season was a fluke or a trend.

Steve Killius, DB, BLUNT FORCE

Steve is usually the unsung hero on any team that he plays for. His style is not flashy and his statistics are not gaudy; however, he is the consummate “glue guy” that every roster should have. Over the course of his tenure with the PFFL, I have witnessed Killius making some of the toughest catches in traffic that I have ever seen. He sacrifices his body frequently to make TD-saving tackles. All-Star QB Steve Chockla should be looking to get Killius more involved in the offense which will result in an All-Star selection for this gritty player.

Anthony Garrett, WR/DB, MYSTERY MEN

Anyone who knows Anthony “AG” Garrett will attest to him being a standout competitor on the football field. He can talk trash with the best of them and back it up just the same. This season fans should look forward to All-Star QB Bob Lee incorporating more of AG’s unique skill set to MYSTERY MEN’s offense. The best way to describe AG’s role on his team is that he is the PFFL equivalent of Draymond Green, not the biggest star but because of his energy and toughness he is the emotional leader of his team.
