“We only had four guys today, and it was our first time all playing together, so we’ll get better,”

Like many of the first year teams, TIGGY TIME didn’t fare well in its PFFL debut, falling to SABOTAGE, 29-0, in a “Mercy Rule” situation. The game ended as Adam Zyski found Eric Zyski for the touchdown on the first drive of the second half.

“It seemed like they kept switching up their defense and never really got into rhythm,” A. Zyski said. “Then we just jumped on them, and they didn’t have a chance after that.”

TIGGY TIME was outmatched from the first drive when it was stopped without gaining a first down. SABOTAGE capitalized on its defensive momentum as A. Zyski delivered a strike to Josh Linton for the, 7-0, lead.

The next drive was the same result for both TIGGY TIME and SABOTAGE. The rookie team was unable to gain a first down, and A. Zyski capitalized by rushing for a long touchdown on the first play of the drive, giving SABOTAGE the, 14-0 lead.

That would be all SABOTAGE would need, as its defense sacked TIGGY TIME quarterback John Kearns in the endzone for the safety on the next drive. That would be the last time TIGGY TIME would touch the ball in its season debut.

The win was just what SABOTAGE needed after a tough loss to STALLIONS in its opening game. A. Zyski believes his team, as well as TIGGY TIME, have nowhere to go but up.

“We only had four guys today, and it was our first time all playing together, so we’ll get better,” he said. “It was their first game too, so you know they’ll get better too.”
