“We’re going to win it all; it’s in the bag,” R. Becker

The PFFL wasn’t kind to rookie teams in week one, but TOM SELLECK broke the mold in its dominating, 20-7, win over COOKIES & CREAM in the opening game of the fall season.

“We were just able to dominate out there,” TOM SELLECK quarterback Ryan Becker said. “We were bigger, faster and better.”

COOKIES & CREAM came out strong, driving down the field on its opening drive. But Brody Patrick stepped in front of an Adam Leonard pass to halt the drive.

Becker didn’t waste any time in capitalizing, as he found Jon Becker for a touchdown completing a 3-play drive, to take a, 6-0, lead.

Leonard would make up for his interception on the next drive for COOKIES & CREAM when he found Mike Mannion for the touchdown to cap off a long, sustained drive.

That would be the only offense COOKIES & CREAM would generate, however.

As the end of the first half approached, R. Becker found Patrick streaking down the sideline for a long gain. On the very next play, he connected with J. Becker for the second time of the half. The touchdown and two-point conversion gave TOM SELLECK a, 14-7, lead at the half.

On the first drive of the second half, TOM SELLECK sealed the deal with a short touchdown pass to R.J. Marytin, capping off a long drive.

TOM SELLECK, which has only one member that has played in a flag football league, doesn’t lack confidence despite the lack of experience.

“We’re going to win it all; it’s in the bag,” R. Becker said. “We won’t lose a game. Don’t even worry about it.”

More experience teams may not like the rookie teams’ confidence.
