The PFFL has had three seasons under its belt now, expanding each season and taking Pittsburgh by storm in the process. As any competitor in the PFFL knows, one of the innovative features of the league is its stat tracking.

In order to prepare for the upcoming fall season, the PFFL has officially released its statistical leaders in all categories. These statistics give each player in the league something to strive for, and are separated by individual seasons and the league’s all-time leaders.

The inaugural season of the PFFL stood out for many reasons, one being the exceptional quarterback play of Eugene Smith of the BULLDOGS. That season, Smith set single season PFFL records in completions (151), attempts (233), passing touchdowns (42) and rushing attempts (26).

Although these records have lasted several seasons, STEELTOWN’s Chris Sullivan and BALLZ DEEP’s Steve Chockla enter the fall 2010 season with aspirations of breaking at least the single season touchdown record.

The summer of 2010 was the season of defensive records for the PFFL, as each defensive category had its single season record broken. Ed Tozzi of STEELTOWN broke the tackles record with 34, Gary “Goose” Fisher set the sack record with 16 for BALLZ DEEP en route to his Defensive Player of the Year Award and STEELTOWN’s Chris Conrad drove fear into opposing quarterbacks with 12 interceptions.

While single season records are something every player covets, there is a certain mystique to having the all-time record for a PFFL statistical category.

It should come as no shock that Smith is the all-time leader in completions (343), attempts (489), touchdowns (88) and rushing attempts (59), just as he holds the single season record in each.

Smith’s main target, Zach Gorney, is tied with SIX’s Mark Kobistek for the most receiving touchdowns all-time with 36. Kobistek is also the all-time leader in two other statistical categories, receptions (115) and tackles (89).

The PFFL’s all-time leading sack leader is Fisher with 19. You can expect that number to grow even more after the fall season.
