Post Game Interview the the JAGS

All season long the JAGUARS have struggled to put together a winning effort against their contemporaries in the 10/11-year-old division. Coming into their game against the SAINTS, the JAGS were giving up an average of 25.8 points per game to their opponents. To make matters worse, the team was scoring just 8.2 points per game on offense. For a while it appeared that the JAGS would never earn a victory this season.

Then something incredible happened! In their fifth game of the season against the SAINTS, the JAGS turned in their most cohesive performance on both sides of the ball to get their first victory by the score of 42-6.

Several players brought their A-games to the matchup with the SAINTS; however, two players in particular were exceptional. Cole Markel and Cole Starrett displayed their elite playmaking abilities  against a talented SAINTS team. Markell scored one rushing TD and two receiving TDs. Meanwhile Starrett scored two rushing TDs and one pick 6 s time expired in the second half.

Aside from the sheer greatness of “The Coles,” the starting quarterback deserves special recognition as well. Trevor threw two touchdowns and completed several passes for first downs throughout the game.

Passionate JAGUARS’ player Christian McDowell also got in on the offensive action by throwing a touchdown pass to Trevor in the second half.

Unfortunately, the SAINTS were overmatched and undermanned against the buzzsaw that was the JAGUARS’ game plan. The lone highlight for the losing squad was a first half touchdown completion from Heath Mackulin to Jake Pistolesi.

Hopefully the SAINTS will be able to win their final game of the regular season against the RAVENS on Sunday, October 25 at 12:30 PM.
