The Steel South’s PUCK U defeated SMOKE by 1 touchdown. Entering the half with a seven point lead, PUCK U held out in the second half, winning the contest against the Steel East’s SMOKE. Quarterback Adam Zyski has a strong arm, making him a great leader for this veteran team. He got off 24 attempts while his SMOKE counterpart only threw the ball 14 times. Defensively, these two teams are a good match. Josh Litton and Jon Miller are both strong tackles. The SMOKE defense is far more diverse, with 5 players making tackles.

Both of these teams have had an incredibly strong season, so it is no surprise that they had a close battle. They have both emerged as powerhouses in the adult league. It is good to see teams other than the usual leaders stepping up, improving their records, and becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Moving forward, SMOKE has a much harder schedule, facing 5-1 STEELTOWN next week. VAPOR will be PUCK U’s hardest opponent.
