“It’s just to make people laugh.”

Jason, who lives in Brookline, ran track, wrestled and played football in high school. He originally played flag football in Harmorville before putting together a team for the Pittsburgh Flag Football League. He met two of his current teammates on the TITANS, P.J. and Kenny, in Harmorville. When asked if the league in Harmorville was as competitive as the PFFL he said, “No, we won every season in Harmorville.” He said that he would prefer to play competitive games rather than win every game.

Recently, he began playing in a league in Youngstown. He immediately explained how his team had to play five games back-to-back, got a break, and played a six game shortly after. When asked how the teams in Youngstown would hold up against the PFFL teams he said, “The competitive teams would be in the top five here.”

Jason was one of the first people to adopt the Message Board feature on the new and improved PFFL website. He and other players from various teams had many heated discussions which included a massive amount of trash-talking. When asked to comment he said “It’s just to make people laugh.”

Jason was asked to name the top offensive, defensive and overall players in the league, excluding his teammates on TITANS. His offensive player was no surprise, as a previous interview with Tony Tavella revealed the same answer: Steve Chockla. His pick for defensive player was D.J. Douglas from REIGN, describing him as “a beast”. When it got to the best overall player Jason had to pick fellow teammate, (despite the request not to) Brad Russell, which shows how highly Jason thinks of his teammate. We then talked about the most underrated players in the league and Jason came to the conclusion that “Goose” was the most underrated, explaining that “When you have a guy that can get you seven sacks a games you can always have a chance to win.”

To stay along the lines of predictions, Jason’s predictions for this year’s Championship game this upcoming will is TITANS versus REIGN. His reasoning was that the TITANS “took STEELETOWN down to the wire and we were competing with BALLZ DEEP until two costly interceptions late in the game on the goal line.”

When he is not playing flag football he works as a Boilermaker, getting the summers off. He is a current Steelers season ticket holder but admits that his favorite player is Darrell Revis of the New York Jets. He also enjoys listening to music from artists such as Drake, Boys Like Girls, Panic! At the Disco.
