While doing some work on-line, I came across an image floating around the outer space known as FACEBOOK. I recognized who the image belonged to immediately, but the image itself was foreign in a sense but refreshing in another. The colors were sharp, the contrast was very fine tune and the idea I once read in a quote by Richard R. Grant came to mind. “Committing yourself is a way of finding out who you are. A man finds his identity by identifying.” The picture that captivated my attention so much was that of the BULLDOGS 2010 uniforms. To investigate the release of the new look BULLDOGS , I sat down with their team captain Eugene Smith to get a better idea of the meaning and also to gain insight on their plans for 2010.

Whose idea was it to change the colors and logo?

“The vets of the teamDan Guenthar , Zack Gorny and I. All of us go together and we decided that black/white was too plain for us. Ironically, the jersey's we got were actually the wrong ones, but they ended up looking better than the ones we ordered in the first place so we decided to keep them.”

What was the motivation behind the change?

“We (Guenther, Gorny and Smith) figured if we wanted to build a better team we needed some players that were serious about Football. If someone is willing to pay the money for the jersey and the signup fee for the league then they wouldn’t want to waste the money and not play. Last year we had a lot of players that were unreliable and not good. If you’re not good, you’re not going to play on our team. Just ask the old players.”

Has the new logo and uniform change the identity of the BULLDOGS?? Why or Why not?

“Yes the identity of the BULLDOGS has changed with our new Jerseys. We added Defensive Backs like Ruebin Hutchinson and Scott Dittler. We aren’t going to be so easy to score on. We also added some speed on our team with Chris Cramer and L.C. both running about a 4.5. We had to keep the youngest player in the league on our team so we picked up Chris Burns who is great at running routes, and our new center Daniel Bell has great height and hands. So we are definitely ready for the new season to start!”
