While the smart money for this game should rightfully be placed on DECEPTICONS

Whenever LIGHTS OUT and DECEPTICONS play each other, there is always something greater on the line for both teams. A few years ago the original LIGHTS OUT squad featured players like All-Star SunBear Coe, Dan Kaefer, and Dan “Bieber” Voith. Somewhere down the road, the team decided to undergo a paradigm shift in terms of their team strategy for winning games. As a result, the aforementioned players left LIGHTS OUT in hopes of creating a team that was better suited to their particular skill sets than LO.

Since then the teams have gone in opposite directions. LIGHTS OUT has plummeted due largely to the team’s inconsistent QB play. Contrarily, Coe has led his team to winning season after winning season since taking over DECEPTICONS.

While the smart money for this game should rightfully be placed on DECEPTICONS given their 4-1 record to lead the STEEL NORTH (currently the PFFL’s toughest division), LIGHTS OUT’s previous experience with Coe could be just what the underdogs need to pull off an upset.

At 1-5, LIGHTS OUT isn’t really in position to argue with anyone who describes them as “underdogs.” They are offensively inept and defensively limited. Nevertheless, if they cannot beat the Coe and his new favorite receiver Brandon Seachrist on the field, then maybe they can get in the QB’s head to distract him.

The bottom line is that this game will be emotional for both squads because of the history between most of the players involved. While a win against DECEPTICONS won’t fully make up for another disastrous season for LIGHTS OUT, the opportunity to claim bragging rights could jumpstart their best game this season.
