KNIGHTS QB Zack Bahr struggled with his accuracy all game

This summer season unlike years past features the smallest amount of teams (12) the PFFL has fielded since it was established back in the fall of 2009. As a result last season’s weaker teams will have a much greater probability of advancing further in the playoffs then they would have under normal circumstances.

Speaking of the league’s bottom feeders, WRENIS PINKLES and the BLACK KNIGHTS competed against each other in Week 1 of the summer league. While the KNIGHTS were able to sack Quarterback Anthony Naret three times, they were simply no match for the offensive prowess of the PINKLES as they suffered a demoralizing 25-6 loss.

KNIGHTS QB Zack Bahr struggled with his accuracy all game as he did for most of last season. Specifically, the signal-caller completed an abysmal 35 percent of his passes with zero touchdowns and one interception. In fairness to Bahr, he was responsible for the KNIGHTS only score after juking his way into the end zone for a rushing TD.

In the first half, the game seemed to be pretty tame; however, the second was a different story. Naret turned in one of his better performances in recent memory. By completing 13 of 17 passes with four TDs and no picks, the PINKLES QB led his team to an 18-6 point differential in the second half.

The receiving tandem of Ryan McIntyre (four receptions, two TDs) and Cory Blotzer (eight receptions, two touchdowns) was unstoppable. Moreover, defensive backs Frank Kiss and Mike Galet were relentless on defense. Kiss’s interception of Bahr was a momentum-shifting play as the KNIGHTS were knocking on the door of a game-tying touchdown at the time.

With all due respect to both teams, I did not see anything that would suggest that either squad is ready to seize control from contenders like PRIMETIME (defending champs) and VAPOR (two-time champions). Nevertheless, the PINKLES earned a small light at the end of the tunnel after thoroughly beating a weak team.
