Interview with Tayshaun McMillan

Against all odds the BUCCANEERS pull off an impressive 18-0 victory against the TITANS in the lower division championship game. The shutout was somewhat improbable given both teams’ regular season records (BUCS 2-4; TITANS 6-0). Moreover, the TITANS recorded two shutouts against the BUCS (19-0 and 18-0, respectively) this year.

Primarily the BUCS benefitted from the unstoppable effort by Tayshaun “T-Mac” McMillan. The talented young star put the team on his back after scoring two first half touchdowns to set the tone for the rest of the game.

In his words, McMillan explained that he “used all of my moves on ‘em, then I ran and they couldn’t catch me” on his scoring plays.

Although most players between seven and nine usually struggle to establish a comfort zone with their teammates Mac explained why this was not an issue for him.

According to McMillan he feels very good about playing in the PFFL “because I like playing with my family and friends.”

While McMillan handled his business in the first half, teammate Joseph Kitchen solidified himself as the BUCS’ closer in the second. Inspired by the success of T-Mac, Kitchen eluded several defenders en route to scoring the game’s final TD.

“He’s a great player and I’m happy to have him on my team,” McMillan said about his teammate.

Winning a championship during his rookie campaign with the Youth League has given the leader of the BUCCANEERS reason to be optimistic for next season.

“Whatever team I end up being on we will be winning the championship,” McMillan coolly said.

CONGRATULATIONS BUCCANEERS!!!
