The Pursuit of Perfection: A PRIMETIME Story

In dominating fashion, PRIMETIME accepted every challenge that the league threw at them

Over the years PFFL fans have watched PRIMETIME grow from a talented team into a contender for the championship trophy. The team’s roster is full of All-Stars and multiple Player of the Year winners. Despite all of their success, PRIMETIME has never gone undefeated in the regular season…until now.

In dominating fashion, PRIMETIME accepted every challenge that the league threw at them and emerged victorious for an impressive 10-0 record. Collectively, they won five of their 10 games by way of the mercy rule (a 35-point advantage ends the game).

According to former DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR and unofficial statistician Kory Vorum, PRIMETIME has scored the most points in PFFL history. Additionally, fellow All-Stars Kenny Ashmore and Jason Scott broke records this season: Ashmore caught 26 TDs for the receiving touchdowns record and Scott set the passing TDs record with 44.

While some observers might scoff at the regular season as being meaningless, I contend that PRIMETIME should enter this postseason with plenty of confidence because they beat a top team this season. In the first game of the season, Scott completed 78 percent of the passes and threw for four TDs to lead his squad to a 40-26 victory over CHAOS. I can’t place too much credence into PRIMETIME’s 33-7 victory over VAPOR because the defending champs were severely undermanned in that game.

Overall, PRIMETIME has looked like the team to beat all season. Now that they have the bull’s-eye on their backs, let’s see if one of the league’s two undefeated teams will be able to culminate their regular season achievements with a trophy.
