The style of play teams have to employ in the Pittsburgh Flag Football League makes games like this one intense...especially the closer the schedule gets to the playoffs. The games today mark the all important halfway point in the season.

Both LIGHTS OUT and VENOM came into the game holding second place in their divisions. This is where talent normally steps up and it did today big time. Sean Corliss helped VENOM take control of this game pretty quickly...jumping out to a quick 18-6 lead and they never looked back.

The combo of Rob Roberts and all-league receiver Sean Corliss proved to be too much for LIGHTS OUT. The ball stayed in the air for most of the game, with Corliss getting the majority of the touches all while consistently finding open spots in the secondary. The more Corliss touched the ball, the more VENOM tried to stretch the field and the Lights Out defense was forced to compensate opening up plenty of opportunities.

LIGHTS OUT tried to employ some gadgetry in the second half to make it a closer game, but it just wasn't their day. The game even ended on a fake handoff that was overthrown.
